Installation Instructions
1. Position the two lock pieces with their loop ends overlapping, in the exact way you will install them on your furniture.
2. Attach the padlock (not shown), taking care to include both loop ends of the lock pieces. Make sure the padlock is facing you, in order to position the lock pieces so as to easily lock and unlock the padlock.
3. Prior to removing the adhesive backing paper, practice placing the lock pieces with the padlock installed to select the best attachment places.
4. Check for clearances on doors, lids or drawers. If installing on a side-by-side unit (cabinet or side-by-side refrigerator), overlap the two loop ends in the middle of the two doors.
5. Locate a suitable flat surface for each of the two lock pieces.
6. After the two lock pieces are in position, outline the selected base areas by tracing (with a pencil) around the base plate of each lock piece, on the furniture's surface. Remove the padlock.
7. Use the scrubby pad to clean and roughen the selected base areas of the furniture. Then, wipe each selected base area clean with one alcohol prep per each area. Let dry completely.
8. Peel off the adhesive backing paper on the first lock piece. Do not touch the exposed pad. Place the first lock piece onto its selected base area and hold in place, pressing FIRMLY for two minutes.
9. Repeat Step 8 with the second lock piece. Bonding is immediate, but full adhesive strength is not achieved for 48 hours. Please wait 24 hours before installing the padlock or putting any tension on the lock pieces.
10. Attach the sticker to the furniture near the installed lock. Write key access information in the white box with a permanent marker.
